I have been trying to learn to shoot for the past 11 years and just couldn’t improve. I’ve had friends (both men and women) with great marksmanship try to help me and I wasn’t able to figure it out. Honestly about 1/2 of my shots didn’t even hit the target. Then I found Cindy Scott on the internet and took a private 2 hr lesson with her first. Just from that one lesson Cindy was able to miraculously increase my skills to the point that I just scored a 250 (max) on my LTC certification!!! Cindy did such an amazing job in helping me feel safe and in control when handling guns. I told her several times that I wouldn’t have done the class or even exposed myself to guns if it not had been for her. She sent a very detailed action report after the class going over everything I learned. I wish I could give a higher rating than a 5/5. Awesome instructor!

For me, the most unexpected part of firearms training is to be told you are worth protecting. This is a wonderful experience and Cindy is a great and personable instructor who makes shooting fun and easy to learn. Well another awesome class by Instructor Cindy. I have been shooting for about 4 years now and always learn something in a new class or a class I take again. She explains things so clear and what an awesome set of drills we participated in and helped me get my aim on track again and helped with me controlling the recoil. Also Robyn is an awesome sidekick, instructor and helper. Both are awesome class leaders.

I have been shooting pistols for around 40 years but Cindy tweaked my stance, grip, & trigger finger placement with fantastic results! I highly recommend Cindy as an instructor. It’s well worth taking the private lesson even if your just looking to qualify for the Handgun Lesson. Even as an old dog you will learn new tricks about safety, range etiquette, & of course shooting. I will add her tips to my training & my wife will be going to see her when she is ready! This morning I was home alone, stripped and cleaned the new pistol I bought this weekend and went to the range by myself to try it out!
That’s massive step for me and it’s all down to Cindy.
I knew absolutely nothing about firearms and was truly fearful of them but Cindy has a gift. Not only is she an expert in firearms but more importantly she can instantly relate to people and put you at ease. I had 3 lessons with her. After just a few minutes talking with her the first day I knew I trusted her. To start we sat at picnic tables and talked. She was gentle, caring and her instruction was thorough and encouraging. She brought pictures and even a “dummy” pistol to begin demonstrating with so I never felt scared or unsafe. When I was ready we went into the range. She was never pushy and I never felt rushed. Her manner made me feel like all my questions were important and valid.
I highly recommend her. She’s an amazing, sweet teacher and seems to have the patience of a saint! Thanks so much Cindy.

I had my first private instruction with Cindy in June 2020 and have had may classes and trainings since. She is experienced, knowledgeable and a great teacher. Cindy is patient and fun, making it easy to relax. Her teaching style is well-suited for the newbie and experienced shooter alike. You simply can’t go wrong with instruction from Cindy Scott!

Like a lot of women, I was intimidated by my gun. One pleasant afternoon with Cindy turned that around and now I am much more comfortable with it. Recently, had the opportunity to participate in a class for advanced fundamentals. Not only is Cindy knowledgeable, she is kind, and presents the information in multiple ways for the student to understand. She works with each participant one on one and ensures she is successful. I enjoy her classes.

This was my first time shooting. Cindy knew her stuff, was very professional, and made me feel at ease as I learned. I plan on taking advantage of all of her training opportunities. I would highly recommend her.

Cindy Scott is an amazing instructor. I have been shooting since December ‘20 and no matter how much I practiced, I was low to the left. Cindy stresses the basics, which we all need to work on no matter how long we’ve been shooting. Cindy is so knowledgable but makes you feel so confident and comfortable. By the end of class, I learned so much about the way I was shooting, the good and the bad. She gave me a lot of homework, some for home with dry fire and some at the range. Do I have a long way to go, you bet but I am so much better than I was. It is fun to shoot but if you have bad habits, they are just being reinforced. Learning how to do things correctly and safely is so much more fun. Make every shot count! Thanks, Cindy!

Cindy, wow, what an instructor!! When I say I was afraid of seeing or touching guns, it is truly an understatement. Cindy put me at ease with a nice chat, no guns in sight; she was interested in learning about my fear and took the time I needed to have a positive start. Her knowledge and direction put me at ease and proved invaluable when it was time to move past my anxiety. She was compassionate and did not rush me; the patience she showed me was a true key in my success. It takes less than a minute with Cindy to know her love and passion for gun education and protection. I am blessed to have her in my path and continue my journey…..I passed my class and now have my licence. I wholeheartedly recommend Cindy and Galveston Gal to meet all your needs.

Cindy was a great instructor. I would recommend her to anyone, but especially ladies. She understood the challenges of small hands and had great tips to make it a non-issue. I went into class a little intimidated by my pistol, but left much more comfortable. Now I just need to practice. The great thing is she sends an after action report that goes over everything we talked about in class so if I forget something I have a reference to turn to.

Cindy and Reba did a great job to help ladies get ready for conference. I have been fortunate enough to go to the conference in Austin. I was so nervous for the equipment check in etc. and this class I know will be so helpful for those that have not been before. Also the holster experience is a must and also probably required for many classes at conference.

This is a class everyone should take; man, woman, teenager, young adult and senior citizen! I’ve taken many classes with Galveston Gal and have always gotten a lot out of them. This class is particularly helpful (especially during this time of year). My husband just told me that he saw on the news that “jugging” is up in Houston by I think he said 20%. That includes everywhere (not just the Wal-mart and other big shopping places, but banks, restaurants, etc. We need to be on high alert when we go places and return to our homes. Cindy gives the reasons and the tools to use this mindset so that we will not be easy targets of those who would do us harm. Great class!

Would like to say a very thank you for all you have taught me I have been scared of guns all my life. Now I am excited to shoot and you are a wonderful instructor. I didn’t make my first test but that was second time to ever shoot a gun 3rd time to shoot passed and did great job. Thanks again Cindy u r a wonderful person and very very gun safety I am so happy.

Cindy is an awesome instructor. I have learned so much from her over the past 2 years since I met her. My confidence in my own abilities increases each time I am in one of her classes, whether group or private. I would definitely recommend Cindy as an instructor for anyone.

I want to give a shot out and a big thank you to Cindy Scott and her pepper spray class. My daughter Brittany and I took her class in December. Brittany attends college. She and her friend were walking back to the dorms late one night when a man with a hoodie approached them. Brittany said she and her friend both had the instinct that something was not right and stopped talking. Brittany got her pepper spray which was on her key chain in position to use. As the man got closer he began mumbling. Brittany could not understand him. Her friend could and began apologizing to him that they did not have money. Brittany immediately responded in a firm voice and said No!..Stop. The man stopped and they walked on. I believe because of Cindy’s class Brittany had the mental fortitude and tools she needed to prevent a potentially bad situation. Thank you Cindy for what you do! Girl Power!

Cindy is an amazing instructor. She keeps the classroom material fresh and lively by encouraging student/instructor dialog and interaction. Her shooting drills are always fun yet challenging. She is able to meet people right where they are in their shooting journey.
